Obituary

William M. "Bill" Shuttic, 83, of Warren and formerly of Brookfield, entered eternal rest at 2:50 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, 2018 in his home.

Bill was born February 25, 1935 in Warren the son of the late Michael and Ann Barrick Shuttic and was a lifelong area resident.

A 1953 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School, Bill was a 1957 graduate of the General Motors Institute with a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical engineering and continued his education by graduating in 1966 with a Master's Degree from Kent State University in Electrical engineering.  While attending GMI, Bill was a member of the tech club and Phi Tau Alpha Fraternity.

Bill was a volunteer with the Butler Institute.  He was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, where for many years he planted and maintained the flower beds at the church and was a member of the St. Benedict Auxiliary.

A veteran of the United States Navy, Bill served his country faithfully in the Naval Reserves and was honorably discharged on January 25, 1967.

Bill is survived by two sons Michael W. Shuttic and his daughter and granddaughter of William M Shuttic, Emma Grace Shuttic of Pembroke, NH and Bill and wife, Francie Shuttic of West Covina, CA; and by very close friends Dick Landers, Henry Venneta and Patricia Augustine all of Warren.

Calling hours will take place on Friday, June 15, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:50 a.m. in SS. Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, 180 Belvedere Ave NE, Warren, where the St. Benedict Auxiliary will recite the rosary at 9:30 a.m. Friday.

A Liturgy with prayers for Bill will take place at 10:00 a.m. Friday in the church with Fr. Simeone B. Sibenik as celebrant.  Inurnment with full military honors provided by the Trumbull County Honor Guard will follow in All Souls Cemetery in Cortland.

Following the services at the cemetery, a gathering of family and friends will take place at the Café422 in Warren.

Bill's family would like to offer a special and sincere thank you to the staff and nurses at Hospice of the Valley for making Bill's final days peaceful and comforting in his home.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions take the form of donations in Bill's name to SS. Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, 180 Belvedere Ave NE, Warren, Ohio 44483 to be used for the perpetual care of flowers and gardening around the church.
