Obituary

NILES - Willith M. Mancini, 89, of Niles, died Thursday, July 14, 2011, at Grace Woods Village.

Willa was born Dec. 10, 1921, in County Durham, England, the daughter of Adam and Harriet Holland Knox.

She served in the United States Army during World War II.

Willa retired from St. Joseph Hospital. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Warren.

Survivors include three sons, Richard A. Starr of Warren, David Mancini of Niles and Robert C. Mancini of Howland; two daughters, Linda L. Franko of Omaha, Neb., and Veronica M. Fedosuk of Edgewater, Fla.; one brother, Edward Knox of Steubenville; 14 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony J. Mancini; a son, Gilbert E. Starr; and a sister.

Calling hours will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Sinchak & Sons Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Warren, preceded by a 9:30 a.m. prayer service at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Meadowbrook Cemetery.
