Aglaia Lilli Markopoulos Radu went to be with the Lord on November 16, 2025.
Lilli was born in Warren, Ohio on June 10, 1955 to John and Antigoni Hatzis Markopoulos.
She was a 1973 graduate of Howland High School, and received a B.A. from Youngstown State University in 1978. Lilli also did post-graduate studies in Social Work. Lilli was a private tutor in Reading, Languages, and Social Studies. She spoke Greek and English fluently and had a lifelong passion for learning new languages. Her deep love for animals was evident to all who knew her, and in her memory, the family encourages others to open their hearts and homes by adopting a forever friend.
Lilli belonged to both the Ohio Warren Junior Women's League and the Hera Chapter #31 of the Daughters of Penelope. She retired from the church choir in 2011, after serving for over 30 years.
Lilli was President of Hera #31 three separate times; 1988-90, 2008-2010, and 2013-18. She served on the District Lodge from 2002 to 2007, where she was District Governor 2005-2006. Lilli won Chapter Penelope award twice, in 1989 and in 2008. In 2008, she went on to win District Penelope, and also achieved National Penelope 2008.
Lilli was preceded in death by both parents; her son John-Thomas Radu, and both stepfathers, Paul Leventis and Heinz Ernst.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Juliana Radu and Andrew Minamyer of Columbus, her brother Kirk (Rachelle) Markopoulos of Twinsburg, and nephews Nickolas and Noah Markopoulos, and step-niece and step-nephew Morgan and Daniel Boland, all of Twinsburg. Lilli is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Family and friends may visit and pay tribute to Lilli on Thursday evening, November 20, 2025 from 5 to 7pm at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel of Warren, 1884 North Road NE.
Additional Calling Hours will be on Friday, November 21, 2025 from 11:30am to 12:30pm at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 429 High St NE, Warren, OH 4448.
A Funeral Service will follow at the Church at 12:30 with Rev. Constantine Valantasis presiding.
Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
