Ann E. Glowacky

McKinley Heights – Ann E. Glowacky 1928-2024

On June 15, 2024, our dear mother left this earth to join our dad and the heavenly angels.

Born July 6, 1928 in McKinley Heights, Ann was 95 years old, just shy of her 96th birthday. She lived her entire life in McKinley Heights.

Ann was the daughter of Esther and Metro Rappach. She attended Vienna High School.

Ann was married to Walter Glowacky for 53 years, until his passing in 2005.

She will be deeply missed by her four children, Larry Glowacky (Kelly), Sheryi Jones (John), Kenneth Glowacky and Tom Glowacky (Cathy).

Her grandchildren include Kerry Devine, Jim Devin (Jessica), Chase Glowacky (Kristin) and Blake Glowacky.

Great-granddaughters are Marleigh Devine and Vareina Glowacky.

Born to a family of eleven children, she is survived by four siblings. Her best friend and sister, Katie Trontel and brothers, Frank Rappach, Ray Rappach (Pat) and Bob Rappach (Karen).

Ann was preceded in death by siblings, John Rappach, Chuck Rappach, Steve Rappach, Nick Rappach, Mike Rappach and Mary (Rappach) Bohach.

Ann was an amazing lady. She spent her whole life dedicated to her family and what was best for them. She was gentle, kind and loving and taught us how to live.

Ann loved the outdoors and enjoyed taking long walks in her neighborhood. She was always active and loved her life to the fullest.

One of Ann’s favorite memories, growing up in McKinley Heights, was picking daffodils as a child at the home of President William McKinley.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel of Warren.

Private services for Ann were held and the burial was at Pineview Memorial Park in Warren, OH.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Ann’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
