Warren – Anthony David (Tony) Brocco, 76, of Warren, passed away peacefully at his residence early Monday morning, August 5, 2024 with his loving family by his side.
Tony will always be remembered by his family and friends for his kindness, sense of humor, generosity and humbleness.
He was born June 14, 1948 in Warren, the son of William and Mary (Dellimuti) Brocco and was a lifelong area resident.
Tony graduated from John F. Kennedy High School and then attended Cuyahoga Community College. He realized that he wanted to follow his passion and love for working with wood and entered the carpenter’s apprenticeship program. This led him to a lifelong fulfilling career of over 54 years as a master carpenter.
He was a member of St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish- St Mary Church and he had a strong devotion to St. Anthony of Padua.
Tony enjoyed spending time at the lake fishing and canoeing. He also loved to cook and was a true grill master, but most importantly Tony loved socializing and spending time with his family and friends. He always made his family his top priority.
Tony leaves behind the love of his life, his wife of over 53 years the former Vanessa Pinney whom he married on August 22, 1970 at St. Pius X Church, his two beloved daughters Stacey (Dennis) Lann of Willoughby Hills and Leslie (Nate) Aldrich of Calcutta, his seven grandchildren whom he adored; John (Hannah), Christopher, David, Brandt and Monica Lann and Alexa and Nicholas Aldrich, his two brothers Mark (Amy) Brocco and Matthew (Anne) Brocco both of Florida, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Tony was preceded in death his parents.
Family and friends may pay their respects to Tony on Thursday, August 8, 2024 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel, 1884 North Rd., NE, Warren.
There will be a prayer service held on Friday, August 9, 2024 at 9:15 am at Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 am at St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish-St. Mary Church, 232 Seneca Ave NE, Warren, with Father Christopher Cicero and Father Ed Stafford as celebrants.
Entombment will follow at All Souls Cemetery, Bazetta.
The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the entire staff of Hospice of The Valley, Mrs. Twila Zandarski, relatives and friends, for all the wonderful care and compassion shown to Tony and them throughout this difficult time.
