Antoinette "Toni" Mark

Warren - Antoinette “Toni” Mark, 96, of Warren, passed away Friday morning, October 4, 2024, at Trumbull Regional Medical Center.

Toni was born Antonia Economos on December 19, 1927, a daughter of Zaharias and Ourania Grammatikos Economos in Martins Ferry, Ohio where she attended Martins Ferry High School until the family moved to Warren in 1946. She married the love of her life, Kostas Mark on April 30, 1950, and moved to New York City where they lived, worked, and raised their two sons until 1992 when Toni, Kostas and Zachary moved back to Warren to spend the rest of their lives.  

Toni was a homemaker and loved cooking and entertaining for her family and friends. She and Kostas travelled to Greece every year where they had a summer home on their beloved island, Fourni. Her family was her life and was extremely close to her siblings, nieces and nephews and was the light of everyone’s life. Her kind demeanor, never-ending smile and infectious laughter made her an absolute joy to be around.

Toni was a member of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church and its Ladies Philoptochos Society and The Koursaron Society. 

She will be profoundly missed and remembered by all who knew and loved her. Her children, Peter and Susan Mark and Zachary Mark. Grandchildren, Kostas, Louisa, Lance, Magan (Salman), and Adam (Kathy), eight great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Toni was preceded in death by her husband, Kostas (2016), brothers Harry and Nicholas, sisters Constance and Sylvia, brother-in-law Phillip and sister-in-law Sevasti.

Family and friends may visit and pay tribute to Toni from 10:00 am until 10:50 am on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 429 High St. NE, Warren, OH 44481. A Funeral Liturgy will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the church with the Revs. Constantine Valantasis and Demetri Constantine presiding.

Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel, 1884 North Rd. NE Warren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations be made to the St. Demetrios Philoptochos Society.
