Carlene Ross

Warren – Carlene Ross, 79, of Warren passed away on Wednesday evening, May 21, 2025 at Cortland Healthcare.

Carlene was born on June 22, 1945 in Warren, OH, a daughter of Dominic and Josephine (DiLoreto) DeMauro.

Carlene was a 1963 graduate of St. Mary’s High School in Warren.

She began work at Second National Bank, where she met her husband, James Ross. The two later owned two motels together in Ocean City Maryland and then enjoyed a well-deserved retirement in Florida.

Carlene was a great cook and she enjoyed reading. She cherished her friends and family and will be missed by all who knew her.

Carlene will always be remembered by her daughter, Robyn (David) Wahnschaffe of Baton Rouge, LA; son, J. Bradley Ross of Baton Rouge, LA and grandchildren, Benjamin and Alexander Wahnschaffe.

Besides her parents, Carlene was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, James Ross; brother, James J. DeMauro and sister, Donna Wyko.

Family and friends may visit and pay tribute to Carlene on Monday, June 9, 2025 from 10 to 11am at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel of Warren, 1884 North Road NE.

A Funeral Service will follow at the funeral home at 11am.
