Cathy G. Soffos

Warren – Cathy G. Soffos, 75, of Warren passed away on Saturday morning, June 15, 2024 in her home surrounded by her family and loved ones.

Cathy was born on October 21, 1948 in Minerva, OH, a daughter of Lauren and Ruth (Nixon) Garner.

Cathy was a 1966 graduate of Leavittsburg High School and went on to work for Delphi Packard for 38 years.

Cathy loved people and was always the life of the party. She had a special ability to connect with anyone and everyone she encountered and make them smile, as well as laugh by cracking her jokes. Cathy was known for her thoughtfulness and generous nature. She was always finding ways to let others know they were special and cared for. Cathy loved her family and friends deeply and treasured spending quality time with them. Cathy loved to travel and experience exciting adventures. Over the years she has enjoyed dancing, playing bocce, visiting the casino, as well as making a few purchases from QVC. Cathy was loved deeply and will be missed beyond measure. 

Cathy will always be remembered by her husband of 47 years, Zane Soffos of Warren; sister, Punki Parker of Baltimore, OH; nieces, Rachel (Joe) Leeworthy of Clayton, NC and Courtney (Kurt) Boggs of Baltimore, OH; many other loved nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, James (Kae) Soffos of Warren and her beloved dog, Nina Lynn.

Besides her parents, Cathy was preceded in death by her brother, Danny Garner.

Family and friends may visit and pay tribute to Cathy on Tuesday, June 18, 2024 from 4 to 6pm at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel of Warren, 1884 North Road NE.

Additional calling hours will be on Wednesday, June 19, 2024 from 1 to 2pm at the funeral home with a Trisagion service following at 2pm.

Burial will be on Thursday morning, June 20, 2024 at Oakwood Cemetery in Warren. Family and friends are invited to meet at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel at 9:30am for a procession to the cemetery.
