Youngstown – Charles F. “Chuck” Morris, 69, of Warren passed away on Sunday afternoon, February 18, 2024 at St. Elizabeth Hospital with his loving family by his side after a three month battle with cancer.
Chuck was born in Heidelberg, Germany on July 4, 1954 to Charles N. and Mary (Sedall) Morris.
He was a 1972 graduate of Howland High School and went on to the NADA dealership academy. He had worked at many auto dealerships in the area in positions from sales to general manager. He eventually became the owner of two dealerships, Warren Imports and Morris Volkswagen of Boardman, until his retirement in 2009. He then moved to Myrtle Beach with his wife, Janet, and enjoyed the next seven years golfing four days a week and spending time at the beach. Chuck loved golfing, fishing, boating, and traveling, but he was never happier than when he had a home project going. Chuck was a true Jack of All Trades and would help anyone with home remodeling. A finer craftsman could not be found.
Chuck will be deeply missed by his wife, Janet Caldwell Morris, whom he married May 10, 2006; his sons, Michael (Lindsay) Morris of McDonald, Matthew (Melissa) Morris of Galivants Ferry, SC and Charles Morris of Warren; daughters, Heather Morris (Tony Sciarra) of Boardman and Brianne Morris of Bradenton, FL; step son, Michael Byer of Warren; brother, Al Morris of Howland; in-laws, Joyce and Lloyd Caldwell of Newton Falls and two grandchildren, Brennan and Brock Byer.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents.
Family and friends may visit and pay tribute to Chuck on Thursday, February 22, 2024 from 5 to 6pm at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel of Warren, 1884 North Road NE.
A Funeral Service will follow at the funeral home at 6pm with Rev. Jennifer Dorn presiding.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Chuck’s name to The Warren Family Mission, P.O. Box 311 Warren, OH 44482 OR https://warrenfamilymission.org/ways-to-give/give-now/.
