Consiglia Venettacci Obituary

Consiglia Venettacci, 87, of Warren passed away on Saturday morning, June 21, 2025 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown. Consiglia was born on September 30, 1937 in Collelongo, Italy, a daughter of Pasquale and Mary Ann (Pisegna) Cerone.

Consiglia married the love of her life, Pasquale Venettacci, on December 1, 1956 in Collelongo. Shortly after, Pasquale came to the United States and Consiglia followed in 1957. The two settled in Warren, OH, where they would make a life for themselves and their family.

Consiglia worked at many of the men’s clothing stores over the years, which
included: The Prince Company, Bond’s Clothing, Hughes and Hatcher and Diamond Company. Determined to learn English, Consiglia regularly watched American Bandstand and Popeye where she would pick up words and phrases.

Consiglia kept a meticulous home and yard and was a wonderful cook. She and her family were long-time member of St. Mary’s Church, now St. Teresa of
Calcutta Parish. Consiglia was devoted to her faith and cherished time spent with family and friends. She will be deeply missed.
Consiglia will always be remembered by her husband of 68 years, Pasquale Venettacci; two daughters Mary (Gregory) Scerbo of Warren, and Susie (Brad)
Davison of McDonald, and two grandchildren Vincent and Elena Davidson.
Beside her parents she is preceded in death by her sister Maria Cerone and a brother Sante Cerone.  A private family Catholic mass was held for Consiglia Friday, June 27, 2025, at St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish - St. Mary’s Church, with Fr. Christopher Cicero presiding. Burial was at All Souls Cemetery Bazetta Twp.
