Niles – Daniel C. Dillon, 62, of Niles passed away on Sunday morning, May 18, 2025 at St. Joseph Hospital with his partner by his side.
Daniel was born on November 7, 1962 in Warren, OH, a son of the late Daniel Jr. and Joan (Monteneri) Dillon.
Daniel was a 1981 graduate of Howland High School and then began working in manufacturing. To date, he had worked for 43 years, currently employed by Cleveland Steel Container
Danny was a person who lived and stood in his truth and was never afraid to be himself. He will be remembered for his massive heart, his never-ending jokes, his epic stories, and his generous nature. He loved traveling to Florida with his lifelong partner and best friend, Anthony. He enjoyed pizza Fridays at Avalon Downtown, spoiling his dog who was his best friend, and hosting gatherings for friends and family. He was known for wearing vibrant bright colors that matched his vibrant and full of life personality. Danny will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Daniel will always be remembered by his partner of 20 plus years, Anthony Campano of Newton Falls; brothers, Frank (Mary Kay) Dillon of Howland and Terrance Dillon of Columbus; nieces, Danielle (Xavier) Perez and Kristen (Corey) Schaeffer; great nephews, Reilly and Paetyn Allen; great niece, Eliana Perez and his beloved silver lab, Monty.
Family and friends may pay their respects to Daniel on Thursday evening, May 22, 2025 from 5 to 7pm at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel of Warren, 1884 North Road NE.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 23, 2025 at 11am at Saint John XXIII Parish, St. Stephen Church, 129 W. Park Ave. Niles, Ohio 44446. All visitors are asked to arrive directly to the church.
Burial will be in Pineview Cemetery at a later date.
