Fotini J. "Faye" Paidas

Warren –Fotini J. “Faye” Paidas, 97, passed away on Friday morning, June 14, 2024 at Hampton Woods nursing facility in Poland, OH.

          She was born January 15, 1927 in Symi, Greece, the daughter of the late John & Sevasti Spanakis.

Coming to Warren from the island of Symi,Greece in 1936, Faye was very proud of her Greek heritage. While never forgetting her ethnicity, Faye fully embraced becoming an American citizen. She was a graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and then Beautician School. Faye was known as a pioneer in her time and became co-owner of Mar-Fae Beauty Salon on W. Market St. for over 60 years. Faye was a member of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church and belonged to Yasou Club, Philoptochos Society, Symian Society. She enjoyed baking, traveling, an avid Cleveland sports fan. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.

          She is survived by her two children Dean (Mary K.) Paidas of Boardman, and John (Peggy) Paidas of Warren; three grandchildren Kathryn (Brian) Kemp, Alyssa (Allen) Byers and Alexis (Patrick) O’Brien; five great grandchildren; sister, Betty Spanakis and a brother Michael Spanakis.

          She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Nicholas G. Paidas whom she married July 13, 1952 and passed away April 23, 2013, and sisters, Joy Spanakis and Mary Maris.

          Family and friends may call from 5 to 7pm on Wednesday, June 19, 2024  at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel 1884 North Rd. NE, Warren, Ohio 44483.

Additional calling hours will be on Thursday June 20, 2024 from 10 to 11am at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 429 High St. Warren, Ohio 44481 with a Funeral Liturgy beginning at 11am with  Fr.  Constantine Valantasis officiating.

          Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Warren.

          In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Faye’s name to St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church 429 High St. Warren, Ohio 44481.
