Georgia A Begalla

Georgia A. Begalla, 82, of Warren, passed away peacefully Monday, June 23, 2025, in Windsor House of Champion.

She was born April 9, 1943, in Seneca, South Carolina, the daughter of the late Avery and Martha Julian.

She was a graduate of Seneca High School. After High School, she relocated to Atlanta then to El Paso, Texas, where she married Richard D. Begalla. After Richard’s discharge from the Army they settled in Warren, Ohio and began to raise a family, they were married for 54 years until Richard’s unexpected passing in 2017.

Aside from decades of work in Restaurants from Atlanta to Warren, she spent considerable time doing volunteer work for St. Joseph Riverside Hospital in Warren and the Cub Scouts. An active member of Saints Peter and Paul Church, she was a member of both the Ladies Guild and the Saint Benedicts Auxiliary. She was an avid animal lover who enjoyed bowling, playing board and card games, but mostly spending time with her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her Parents, husband, three brothers and a sister.

She is survived by her children James (Lisa) of Champion, Phillip (Danielle of North Ridgeville and Rose (Jeremy) of Cleveland; Seven grandchildren Alexa (Ron), Michael, Marissa, Greg, Christian, Barbara Rose and Jason; Two Great Grandchildren Keira and Jaeden.

Family and friends may visit and pay tribute to Georgia on Monday, June 30, 2025, from 10 to 12 pm at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel of Warren, 1884 North Road NE.

A Funeral Service will follow at the funeral home at 12 pm.  The burial will be in Pineview Memorial Park, in Warren.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at the Windsor House of Champion (she had her favorites, and you know who you are) and to Sanctuary Hospice who helped care for her.
