Gladys M. (Reed) Toles Calvaruso

WARREN — Gladys M. (Reed) Toles Calvaruso, 84, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday morning, November 22, 2024.

Gladys was born March 11, 1940, in Youngstown, Ohio the daughter of Arther & Agnes (Lee) Leonard.

Gladys was a 1958 graduate of Howland High School, graduating cum laude, and then went on to work for Packard Electric, retiring after 30 years. Gladys enjoyed sewing, solving cross word puzzels and word-searches and going to music -in-the park. Most of all, she cherished spending time with her friends. Gladys will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Gladys will always be remembered by her daughter, Cherie Watkins Harris of Warren; four grandchildren, Alex, Brittany & Cheree Jones & James Brandon Justice; five beloved great grandchildren; a sister, Tina Ramirez; dear friends, Deborah Page, Alinez Rodgers and Mary “Bunny” Steele and numerous nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Gladys was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. Calvaruso, who passed away September 27, 2020; brother, Bruce Leonard and former husband, James Watkins.

Family and friends may visit and pay tribute to Gladys on Friday, November 29, 2024 from 11 to 12noon at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel of Warren, 1884 North Road NE.

A Funeral Service will follow at the funeral home at 12noon

Burial will follow at Pineview Cemetery.
