Harold “Skip” Taiclet, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2026 surrounded by the love of his family.
Skip shared an extraordinary 65 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Arlene Stofira, a testament to a lifetime of love, partnership, and unwavering commitment.
He was a proud and loving father to his three children: Renee (Steven) Mongiovi, David (Sarah) Taiclet, and Lisa Taiclet. Skip’s legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren, Corinne (Jason) Lysenko, Branden (Carly) Mongiovi, Nicholas Taiclet, and Jessica Taiclet, as well as his adored great-grandchildren, Layla, Hayley, and Carmela.
Skip had a passion for award-winning gardening, finding great joy in nurturing his plants and sharing their beauty and harvest with others. He also loved camping throughout the years, achieving his goal of camping in all 48 continental states with the love of his life, creating countless memories with his family in the outdoors. Known for his warm personality and sense of humor, Skip brought laughter and light to all who knew him.
Above all, Skip treasured his family. His kindness, dedication, and love will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at 11 am at Blessed Sacrament Church, St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish.
