Helen M. (Madgar) Kuhar

Warren – Helen M. Kuhar, 101, of Warren passed away on Sunday morning, April 28, 2024 at her home.

Helen was born on January 8, 1923 in Edenborn, PA, a daughter of Andrew and Marie (Polly) Madgar.

She was a 1941 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and , in 1943, married the love of her life, Michael G, Kuhar. Together, they shared 44 years of marriage until Michael’s passing in 1987.

Besides being a proud homemaker, Helen was a dedicated parishioner of Sts. Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic. She enjoyed quilting and gardening. Helen was strong-willed and loving and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Helen will always be remembered by her daughter, Karen Sue Gilbert of Warren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Besides her parents and husband, Helen was preceded in death by four brothers, Michael, Peter, Nicholas and William Madgar; one sister, Mary Bradley and her son-in-law, Dennis Gilbert.

Family and friends may visit and pay tribute to Helen on Thursday, May 2, 2024 from 10 to 11am at Sts. Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, 180 Belvedere Ave NE, Warren, Ohio 44483.

A Funeral Service, with Rev. William Rupp officiating, will follow at 11am on Thursday, May 2, 2024

An Entombment will follow at Pineview Memorial Park in Warren
