Fowler – Jack Lee Lammers, 76, of Fowler, passed away peacefully on Thursday morning, July 31, 2025, surrounded by his loving family after a short illness at the Cleveland VA Hospital.
Jack was born on August 18, 1948, in Warren, Ohio, the son of Lloyd and Jettie (Baker) Lammers, and was a lifelong resident of the area. A graduate of Badger High School, Jack went on to serve his country with honor in the United States Army. He was a helicopter pilot during the Vietnam War and was awarded the Purple Heart for his service. Following his honorable discharge, he earned an engineering degree from Kent State University.
Jack dedicated 30 years of his career to Packard Electric, working as a skilled tool and die machinist before retiring in 2001 at the age of 52.
He was a devoted member of St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church and proudly served on the Trumbull County Fair Board of Directors for more than 40 years, making significant contributions to the community he loved.
A man of many passions, Jack found joy in working his farm—baling hay, gardening, and making his famous peppers and oil to share with family and friends. He was an avid NASCAR fan and especially enjoyed cheering on Ryan Blaney. Jack also loved traveling, with Las Vegas being a favorite destination, always on the lookout for a hot craps table.
Above all, Jack will be remembered for his unwavering devotion to his family. A loving husband, father, grandfather, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend, he prioritized his family above all else. He never missed a single one of his grandchildren’s activities and cherished family vacations camping and at the beach. His generosity, kindness, and selflessness touched all who knew him.
Jack is survived by his beloved wife of over 52 years, the former Darlene (Slavic) Lammers, whom he married on October 7, 1972; his children, Heather (Paul) Langmeyer and Philip (Kristin) Lammers; and three grandchildren, Abigail and Jake Langmeyer and Charlie Lammers.
