Jane A. Pintar

Warren – Jane A. Pintar, 92, of Warren passed away swiftly and unexpectedly on November 27, 2024.

Always as sharp as a tack, Jane lived a life most would envy, living independently at Shepherd of the Valley, enjoying weekly Bridge games, always surrounded by friends and enjoying life until her last moment.

Jane was born on September 9, 1932 in Wheatland, PA, a daughter of Ann (Nugent) Joho and step daughter of Richard Joho.

Jane graduated at the very top of her class both at Farrell High School (1950) and Marietta College (1954), where she was a gifted math major. She taught math in the Cleveland City Schools until retiring to raise her daughters and to support her beloved husband’s, Eugene “Gene” Pintar’s, career with J&L Steel, LTV Steel and finally WCS here in Warren.

As Gene’s career moved the family all over the U.S., from New York to LA and in between, Jane embraced the moves by becoming the president of Newcomers and Welcome Wagon to help welcome families to their new homes.

Settling in Howland in 1989, Jane quickly became involved in bridge, golf and bowling leagues and became a huge fan of her beloved Cleveland Guardians baseball team.

Most of all, Jane truly cherished her time with family and her dear friends and was known for her quick wit and always welcoming personality.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband of 62 years, Gene Pintar and her daughter, Julie Pintar.

She will continue to be celebrated by her daughter, Susie (Pintar) Miley and grandchildren, Erin and Rachel Miley, all of San Diego.

A joyful celebration of Jane’s life will take place in January, with her closest friends and family.
