Jerre Lynn Riggle, 71, of Warren died on Tuesday, December 23 in Cleveland following a brief illness. He was born in Warren on October 31, 1954 to Paul & Betty Jane Williams Riggle. Jerre was a retired Journeyman Bricklayer and former union Field Representative for Bricklayers Local 43 and Local 8. He was a veteran of the United States Army during the Vietnam era and earned his Paratrooper Badge.
Jerre was a strong-willed and independent individual who lived by his own rules. He was hard-working and always crafting with his hands. He would go out of his way to help anyone who asked. He accomplished whatever he set his mind to do and understood the value of an honest day’s work. Although not a religious man, Jerre considered himself to be in church every day in the world around him. He had a simple philosophy of life and enjoyed nature, spending time with his family, and tinkering with projects.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Susleck Riggle, whom he married in 1980, a son Nathaniel Riggle of Portland, Oregon, a daughter Anna-Maria (Nicholas) Ciferno of Warren, a brother John (Judi) Riggle of Warren, a sister Jill CiBella of Warren, a brother Joe (Edie) Riggle of Southington, and numerous nephews and nieces. He was a devoted grandfather to his three grandchildren Margot, Lucian & Marilyn Ciferno.
