Austintown – Judith “Judy” Reed, 74, passed away November 5, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Boardman.
She was born May 18, 1944, in Warren, Ohio the daughter of the late Anthony and Ann Stanko.
She was a 1962 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School, Kent State University Trumbull Branch with an Associates Degree. She retired in 1995 from Kmart on Bellmont as the manager of layaway she was also a real estate agent and also had worked for the Pentagon in Washington DC. Judy was a member of St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church in Warren and a lifelong member and presently the President of the Sister Hood of the Church for the last 20 years and had worked the fish fries. She enjoyed dancing, reading, crafts, ceramics, gardening, nascar and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandson.
She is survived by her husband Floyd “Butch” Reed whom she married February 28, 1997, two children Annette (Eric) Flannery of Lexington, KY, and Paul (Sheri Adair) Kuzmiak Austintown, six grandchildren Raymond, Matthew, Jessica, and Nicole Flannery, Rebecca and Danielle Leonard, a great grandson Jameson Paul Maguire, a brother Anthony “Butch” (Karen) Stanko II of Niles, and two sisters Carol J. Calarich of Austintown, and Maryann Lewis of Niles.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and first husband Walter J. Wysenski Jr.
Family and friends may pay their respects Wednesday, November 7, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. and Thursday, November 8, 2018 from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church, 2220 Reeves Rd. NE, Warren, Ohio 44483.
A service will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the Church with Fr. Jonathan Cholcher officiating.
Burial will be in Pineview Cemetery in Warren.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Judy’s name to St. John’s Sisterhood 2220 Reeves Rd. NE, Warren, Ohio 44483.
