Kenneth Evans

Kenneth (Ken) Evans died peacefully Monday morning, June 17, 2024, at Community Skilled Healthcare Center Warren with additional care from Crossroads Hospice. Ken was born on May 8, 1938, in Winston County, Alabama the son of Amos and Velvie Evans.

On April 1, 1958, he married his wife Pat and together they enjoyed 65 years of marriage.

Ken retired from General Motors/Packard Electric. After retirement Ken had many additional jobs (hobbies as he called them) that included owning and operating Evans Sharpening Service. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle with Pat, collecting Lionel Trains, helping others even strangers and spending times with his grandchildren. There wasn’t anything Ken couldn’t fix or do.  

Ken will be sadly missed by his wife, his children, Kenneth W. Evans, Carolyn Daugherty (David) and Linda Jones (Tim). He will also be missed by his four grandchildren Erin Daugherty, Brian Daugherty (Jenna), Emily Daugherty (Adam Butler) and Nate Jones (Jackalyn). Ken also had eight great grandchildren, Jacob, Theodore, Libby, Hayes Boomer, Penelope Daugherty, and Tatum, Jonah, Kyler Jones.

He is proceeded in death by his parents, his brothers, Aubrey, Rayburn, and sister Loraina Evans.

The Family gathered for a private graveside service at Howland Township Cemetery.
