Kimberly Butcher Obituary

Kimberly Kay Butcher, devoted wife, mother, mawmaw, & caregiver, 64, passed away to be with our lord and savior on Friday morning, December 20, 2024 at her Warren home with her family by her side.

Kim was diagnosed with a very rare neurodegenerative Disease, CBD, Corticobasal Degeneration in 2019.

Kim was born Dec. 5th, 1960, in Saint Joesph's Riverside Hospital to Larry and Sallie Reeder. Kim had 1 sibling, brother, Jeff Reeder.

Kim graduated from Warren Western Reserve Schools in 1979, and while attending graduated nursing school.

Kim married Micheal Ray Butcher on August 16th 1984. The two were each other's devoted companions and were married 40yrs. Kim was cared for until the end by the unconditional love of her husband a true testament of their vows made to one another.

They were blessed with 2 girls: Sara and Kaitlin. Then blessed again with 4 grandchildren: Lillian and Austin, Serafina and Graham

Kim was an avid reader. A great cook. Everyone loved her soups. She adored her pets. Her favorite vacation spot was the beach and loved picking shells and sea glass by the shore. Christmas at her home, around her loved ones and spoiling her grandchildren was her favorite time of year. Other Hobbies included bible studies, swimming, crafting, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Kim started work as an LPN in 1979 in a nursing home presently called Warren Nursing and Rehab. Her entire 42 year career of service was there, retiring in 2021. Her compassion to her patients, and professionalism towards her coworkers left a forever impact on the families and faculty. She was presented a certificate of accomplishment by the Nurse Honor Guard of Eastern Ohio in August 2024, in appreciation for the dedication and tireless efforts in the nursing profession.

Kim's devotion to her faith, family, friends and career will be instilled in everyone that knew her. Kim never failed to take care of anyone that needed it. She will be a light of wonderful memories that live on in her family's legacy.

Kim is survived by her Husband Micheal Butcher, Brother Jeff Reeder and sister in law Michele. Children Sara (Andrew) Wilson. Kaitlin (Jonathan) Dudas. 4 Grandchildren. Many other family members who have helped through the disease.

She was preceded in death by her mother Sallie, father Larry, stepmother Peggy, mother in law Marion and father in law Frank.

Even after death Kim decided to give one last helping hand and true gift to help other patients with brain disease to the University of Maryland brain and tissue bank.

You will be dearly missed, but in our memories and in our hearts we are not apart.

Family and friends may visit and pay tribute to Kim on Monday evening, December 23, 2024 from 4pm to 6pm at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel of Warren, 1884 North Road NE.

A funeral service will follow at the funeral home at 6pm.
