Leonard P. "Lenny" Hodory

Howland – Leonard P. “Lenny” Hodory, 72, passed away Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital from an extended illness.

            He was born September 10, 1946, in Youngstown, Ohio, the son of the late Alex and Ada (Sohayda) Hodory.

            He was a 1964 graduate of Youngstown Chaney High School and attended Youngstown State University. He retired from the General Motors Assembly Plant as a mill wright and welder for 29 years. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church in Warren, 32 Degree Master Mason at Youngstown Wick lodge #0481, Austintown Eagles, Cortland Moose Lodge #1012, Vienna VFW #3521, UAW Local 1112, Aut Mori Grotto, Howland Scope and the captain of their bocce team and the Catholic War Vets. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, riding his Harley, and spending winters in Ft. Myers Florida.

            Leonard was a man who truly enjoyed life to the fullest. He loved being surrounded and spending time with his family and friends. Lenny never refused to help anyone who asked. If he could not do it, he would get someone who could. He was very caring to everyone but loved his soulmate wife Marilyn very much. He gave his infectious beautiful smile to everyone he knew.

            Leonard served our Country in U.S. Navy, Vietnam War.

            He is survived by his wife Marilyn (La Rock) Hodory whom he married October 25, 2004, a son Adam (Stephanie) Kemp of Canfield, three grandchildren Brooke, Brandon and Dylan, his twin brother Clifford (Karen) Hodory of Youngstown and two nephews Bob and Don Hodory and their families.

            He is preceded in death by his parents.

Family and friends may pay their respects Thursday, December 27, 2018 from 3:30 to 6;30 p.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel 1884 North Rd. NE, Warren, Ohio 44483, and Friday, December 28, 2018 from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church 3020 Reeves Rd. NE, Warren, Ohio 44483.

            A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the Church with Rev. Peter Haladej and Rev Christopher Cicero officiating.
