Linda Orsinelli Obituary

Linda A. Orsinelli, 92, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2024, at her home in Warren, Ohio, surrounded by her loving family.

Linda was born January 23, 1932, in Youngstown, Ohio, to Roger O. and Jeannette Saulino. She was the youngest of four children.  She graduated from Ursuline High School in 1948.  She went on to study at St. Mary’s College, now Ohio Dominican University, in Columbus, Ohio, where she graduated in 1952 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mathematics and a minor in Library Science. She taught mathematics and served as librarian for four years in the Mahoning County School System.

On July 28, 1956, Linda married David A. Orsinelli. They moved to Omaha, Nebraska, where David continued his studies at the Creighton University School of Dentistry.  Linda taught in the Omaha Public School System.  Upon David’s graduation, they moved to Ann Arbor, Michigan for David to pursue further study.  In 1961 they moved to Warren where David established his dental practice.

Throughout her life Linda enjoyed volunteer service.  She donated her time in the schools and in parish ministry first at St. James Catholic Church and then at Blessed Sacrament Parish in Warren.  She also volunteered many hours at St. Joseph Hospital.  She was a member of The Service League and later a member of the Hospital Auxiliary.  She served terms as President in both organizations.  In addition to her volunteer service she enjoyed reading, listening to music, and baking and cooking for her family.  Linda also loved spending time with her many close friends, both individually and in local groups, such as the Red Hat Society, Book Club, the Warren Art and Drama Club, and Birthday Girls.  She enjoyed following Notre Dame and Ohio State sports as well as the Cleveland Browns and Guardians.

Above all else, and from beginning to end, Linda’s life was about family.  She and David raised six children in a spirit of faith and love, and made a beautiful, loving home that became a source of great comfort and joy for family and friends as they celebrated holidays and various milestone events over the years.  Everyone who knew Linda was touched by her rare combination of grace and humility, exuding elegance and class while remaining deeply grounded and sensible in her approach to life.

Linda is survived by her six children, David Orsinelli Jr. (Maryellen), Roger Orsinelli (Barbara), Marianne Misiti (Vincent), Patricia Orsinelli, August Orsinelli (Lisa), and Christina Simone (Steven), fourteen grandchildren, Michael Orsinelli (Sarah), Elizabeth Orsinelli Hall (Drew), Bianca Misiti, Gabriella Misiti, Domenic Misiti, Olivia Misiti, Mario Misiti, Abigail Orsinelli, Sophia Orsinelli, Victor Orsinelli, Roman Orsinelli, Anthony Simone, Steven M.
