Manio Koliadis Obituary

Baltimore, MD – Manio Koliadis, 96, formerly of Warren passed away on October 30, 2024 at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD, surrounded by his family.

Manio was born on May 21, 1928 in Lindos Rhodes Greece, a son of the late Nicholas and Kyriakoula Coliadis.

Manio worked as a tailor in Greece. In 1956, he immigrated to the United States and settled in Warren Ohio. He spent the next 34 years working as an inspector at Copperweld Steel.

After retiring, Manio and his wife moved to Baltimore, Maryland to live near their daughter Valasia and son-in-law James Fakas. He enjoyed traveling, especially to Las Vegas and to Rhodes Greece. While in Greece, he enjoyed visiting with family and friends and fishing in the Mediterranean.

Most of all, Manio loved and cherished his family and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Manio will always be remembered by his wife of 69 years, Zinovia Koliadis, his daughter Valasia (James) Fakas of Baltimore, Maryland, his sister Fedra (Sam) Frantizis of Toledo, Ohio, his sister-in-law Mary Coliadis of Warren, Ohio, and his sister-in-law Panagiota “Penny” Dills of Warren, Ohio and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Besides his parents, Manio was preceded in death by his son Nicholas Koliadis, his brother Costas Coliadis, his brother Steve Coliadis, and his brother-in-law Russel Dills. 

Family and friends may visit and pay tribute to Manio on Thursday, November 7, 2024 from 10 to 11am at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 429 High St NE, Warren, OH 44481.

A Funeral Service will follow at the church on Thursday at 11am with Rev. Constantine Volantasis presiding.

Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Manio’s name to St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 429 High Street, NE Warren, Ohio 44481.
