Marilyn A. Porec

Warren – Marilyn A. Porec, 70, of Warren passed away on Tuesday morning, December 9, 2025 at Continuing Healthcare of Niles following health complications.

She will be remembered for her kind heart, sense of humor, strong independence and her role as being the rock and caregiver of her family. Her strong and loving presence will be forever missed by those who loved her.

Marilyn was born on July 6, 1955 in Ravenna, OH, a daughter of Samuel E. Sr. and Shirley (Meier) Lanza.

Marilyn worked for Walmart for 25 years at Walmart until her retirement. It was then that she dedicated her time to taking care of her parents and her sisters. She loved having a house full of family and friends and her face would light up around all the kids she loved. Marilyn adored her siblings, spoiled all her nieces and nephews and would do anything for anyone. She was exceptionally funny and would never hold back on what was on her mind.  If something came up, Marilyn was the one who took charge and got everyone through it. To say Marilyn was cherished is an understatement. She was VERY LOVED and her legacy will never be forgotten.

Marilyn is survived by her siblings, Samuel E. Lanza Jr, David (Carol) Lanza, Edward J. (Donna) Lanza and many loved nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by her sisters, Peggy Eaton, Elaine (Ray) Taylor and Linda (Ronnie)Allen.

Family and friends may visit and pay tribute to Marilyn on Monday, December 22, 2025 from 11 to 12noon at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel of Warren.

Burial will be in Pineview Memorial Park in Warren.
