Mary Ann Mazey

Mary Ann Mazey, 88, of Warren passed away on Saturday afternoon, June 7, 2025 at Gillette Nursing Home in Warren.

Mary Ann was born on April 2, 1937 in Warren, OH, a daughter of Michael and Frances (Swatko) Bufano.

Mary Ann was a 1955 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and went on to marry the love of her life, Ronald Mazey, in 1959. Following their marriage, Mary Ann and Ron moved to Pasadena, CA, where Mary Ann worked for Jurgansen’s Gourmet Grocery, then in the Accounting department at The Bank of America, and then for Ron’s own business, Mazey’s Pool Service.

Moving back to Warren in 1974, Mary Ann worked as a receptionist for Warren Steel Specialty, retiring in 1990. Outside of work, Mary Ann was a parishioner of St. James Catholic Church. She was a proud homemaker and adored her children and grandchildren. Mary Ann will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Mary Ann will always be remembered by her children, Mary Jane Nasonti of Farmington, Michael (Debbie) Mazey of Cortland and David (Heather) Mazey of Garrettsville; grandchildren, Christopher Nasonti, Michael (Peiwen) Mazey, Ryan (Abigail) Mazey, Zachary Mazey, Morgan (Hunter) Bigham and Andrew Mazey; great grandchildren, Paisley, Beaux, Lucas and Natalie; sister-in-law, Patricia Nazam of Nevada and many loved nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Ronald Mazey; granddaughter, Melana Matson; sister, Louise Carey, and brother-in-law; Robert “Gene” Mazey; as well as her mother and father in-laws Robert “Bob” and Ann Mazey. 

Per Mary Ann’s wishes, her family honored her with private services and a private burial in All Souls Cemetery.
