Charlotte, NC – Mary Louise (Hernandez) Wilson, 86, of Warren passed away suddenly on Wednesday evening, November 27, 2024 at Atrium Health Hospital in Charlotte, NC, surrounded by her family.
Mary Louise was born on Christmas Day, 1937 in Warren, OH, a daughter of Manuel and Genoveva (Rios) Hernandez.
She was a 1955 graduate of Howland High School and went on to become a proud homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother.
Mary Louise enjoyed quilting, knitting and working on puzzles. She was an avid gardener and loved flowers. Mary Louise was a lifelong Cleveland Indians fan and enjoyed watching games with friends and family. Most of all, she cherished the time she spent with her loved ones, especially her family.
Mary Louise will always be remembered by her children, Brian (Tammy) Wilson of Howland and Suzanne (Kevin) Brooks of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren, Ashley and Nathan Brooks; two brothers, Richard “Butch” and Ruben “Ruby” Hernandez of Mexico; brother-in-law, Gerald Lynn (Mary Louise) Wilson of Georgia and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Mary Louise was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Donald Wilson and seven brothers, Manuel, Joseph, Robert, Anthony, Samuel, Jesse and Alex Hernandez.
At Mary Louise’s request, no services will be held.
In lieu of flowers, monetary contributions may be made in Mary Louise’s name to The American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704 Hagerstown, MD 21741.
Cremation arrangements are entrusted to the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel of Warren.
