Merle E. Poland

Warren – Merle E. Poland, 88, of Warren passed away on Wednesday morning, July 24, 2024 at her home.

Merle was born on October 17, 1935 in Littleton, WV, a daughter of Carl and Jeannette (Anderson) Cumberledge.

Coming to Warren in 1955, Merle was a proud homemaker and later worked for Strauss’ Department Store, eventually retiring from Kauffman’s.

Merle loved and cherished her family and will be deeply missed.

Merle will always be remembered by her children, Richard Poland of Berlin Center, Cynthia Davies of Niles and Edward Poland of Niles; 8 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and a brother, Danny Cumberledge.

Besides her parents, Merle was preceded in death by her husband of 50 plus years, Thomas Poland and a son, Michael Poland.

Merle’s family will honor her with a private burial at Pineview Memorial Park in Warren, next to her husband.
