Patricia Rogan, 71, of Greene Township, passed away on Sunday February 9, 2025 peacefully, surrounded by family.  She was born on March 17, 1953, in Scranton, PA to John and Agnes (Sweeney) Rogan.  Patricia grew up in Wheaton, MD.  She graduated from Elizabeth Seton High School in Bladensburg, MD.  She then graduated from the Catholic University of America in Washington DC, and continued her education at Seton Hall University where she received a Master’s degree in Religious Education.

Patricia began her work life as a high school and college student, working part-time as a guest services representative at the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington DC.  She next moved to New Jersey and worked in guest services at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart in Newark.  She moved on to a teaching position at Mother Seton Regional High School in Clark, NJ, and then served as a teacher and guidance counselor at Roselle Catholic High School.  Patricia also did part-time work at Fair Oaks Counseling Center.  She proceeded to working in donor management for Catholic Relief Services.  Patricia enjoyed her various work assignments and was respected by clients and employers.  She was honest and concerned about every individual and never hesitated to represent the best interests of the people she served.  Lately, she became active in the Democratic Party politics as a member of the county Democratic Committee.

Patricia met Gary Ciuba when they were both faculty members at Mother Seton Regional High School.  They were married on May 21, 1994.  They enjoyed over 30 years of marriage centered on God’s will for their lives.  They grew their family by adopting 3 pairs of siblings.  Their sons were all school-aged at time of their adoption from Brazil and have now created successful careers and families of their own.

Patricia is survived by her 6 sons Junio (Trista) of Austintown, OH; Giovane (Krystal) of Cortland, OH; Thiago (Alyssa) of Fowler, OH; Jonathan (April) of Boardman, OH; Joao of North Bloomfield, OH; Andre (Lauren) of Niles, OH; and her 12 grandchildren, Ethan, Milena, Owen, Tanner, Marissa, Camila, Oliver, Tegan, Eliana, Avia, Evan, and Zelia.  She is also survived by her cousin Margaret Mary Conway, sister-in-law Debbie Rogan, both of Jessup, PA; her brothers-in-law Rev.
