Warren - Patrick "Pat" Nicholas Guliano, 75, passed away on Thursday – October 31, 2024.
He was born on May 4, 1949, the first child of Neil and Mary Jane Lateana Guliano.
Pat graduated from Niles McKinley High School, Class of 1967. In 1971, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Education degree from The Ohio State University and in 1974, he earned a Master of Education degree from Westminster College. A highly respected and dedicated educator, coach, and administrator, he held many positions in which he impacted the lives and careers of students and aspiring educators. In Warren City Schools he served as a teacher, coach, and athletic director. He served administratively as Superintendent of Niles City Schools, Superintendent of LaBrae Schools, and principal of Ashtabula County Developmental Disabilities. He mentored and supervised student teachers at Notre Dame College. He was the current Northeastern Athletic Conference Commissioner. He was proud of those he mentored and enjoyed countless moments with his colleagues, students, and friends. Among those included being a member of the coaching staff that led the Warren Western Reserve High School Raiders to be the Ohio Class AAA Football Champions in 1972. He was most proud of the team’s development.
Pat was a member of the Ohio Association of Secondary School Administrators. He was honored with the Distinguished Service Award for the Northeast Ohio Interscholastic Athletic Administrator Association. In 2012, he was inducted as a member of the Warren Sports Hall of Fame.
Pat was loved and cherished by many family members and dear friends. He is survived by his sisters Mary (Clayton) Cosimi, and Dr. Alexandra Guliano, his brothers Neil (Jody) Guliano, Rev. John (Lisa) Guliano, and James (Atty. Robert Walker) Guliano, his dear cousins Cathy (Paul) Nuzzi and Dr. Frank (Joan) Alexander, as well as Diane Williams, Kathryn Williams DiCristofaro, his godchildren Neil Anthony Guliano, Kristen Kolar, and Giavanna Tamburro, and nieces, nephews and cousins, all who held a special place in his life. He is also survived by his son Michael Guliano and daughter Megan (Kyle) Bryan.
Anyone that knew Pat also knew that he loved and was extremely proud of all his family and friends.
Pat was preceded in death by an infant son, Patrick Jr., his parents, Neil and Mary Jane Guliano and several dear lifelong friends.
Friends may call on Sunday – November 10, 2024 from 2:00pm-4:45pm at the Peter Rossi and Son Memorial Chapel located at 1884 North Rd NE, Warren, OH 44483. Friends may also call on Monday – November 11, 2024 from 12:30pm-1:15pm at St. Teresa of Calcutta (Blessed Sacrament) Church located at 3020 Reeves Rd., N.E. Warren 44483 where a Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1:30pm. Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
