Richard DiVincenzo Obituary

Warren – Richard Paul DiVincenzo, 77, of Warren, made his transition to his Heavenly home on Saturday, June 8, 2024.

 Richard was born in Warren on May 22, 1947, the son of Michael and Eleanor (Cicciarelli) DiVincenzo and was a lifelong area resident.

Richard was a 1965 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and then continued his education at Youngstown State University until being drafted into the United States Army. Richard proudly served our country as a combat veteran during the Vietnam War and was stationed overseas in the Central Highlands-Pleiku.

Upon earning an Honorable Discharge and returning to Warren, Richard then was employed for over 20 years as the chief tax investigator with the City of Warren Treasury Department.

Richard had many passions in his life. He enjoyed playing pool, attending the racetrack where he loved watching the horse races and was an avid reader. His family was very important to him, and he always looked forward to spending time with them.   

Richard leaves behind to hold onto his precious memories his brother Michael (Rosemary) DiVincenzo of Girard, his sister Deborah (Tom) Phillips of Canfield, a niece April (Steve) Rusing, a nephew Michael (Alexis) Phillips, a step niece Debbie (Dr. Drew) Wojtkowski, two great nephews Remington Phillips and Alex Rusing and great nieces Bella Rusing and Nicole DiVincenzo, along with many cousins and friends. 

Besides his parents Richard was preceded in death by a nephew Christopher DiVincenzo.

Family and friends may pay their respects on Thursday, June 13, 2024 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel, 1884 North Rd NE, Warren.

There will be a prayer service held at the funeral home on Friday, June 14, 2024 at 8:30 am followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:00 am at St. Elizabeth Ann Seaton Parish-St James Church, 2532 Burton St., Warren with Father Christopher Cicero as celebrant.

Entombment will follow at Pineview Memorial Park, Warren where military honors will be provided by the great men and women of the United States Army.
