Robert H. "Bob" Luscher

Cortland – Robert H. “Bob” Luscher, 88, passed away Thursday, February 22, 2024, at St. Joseph Health Center in Warren.

                Bob was born April 5, 1935, in Warren, Ohio, the son of Henry W. and Marie (Alden) Luscher.

                Bob was a graduate of Howland High school. He moved to Cortland in 1992 from Howland. For the last 39 years Bob was the owner and operator of Bob Luscher Excavating and Construction Co. Previously he was co-owner with his brother Jack of Luscher Construction for 15 years. Bob attended St. Roberts Church in Cortland. He enjoyed yard work, snowmobiling, being an active sports fan and having breakfast with his friends at Raptis.

                Bob will be missed by his children David (Colleen) Luscher of Dallas, GA, Henry “Hank” Luscher of Cortland, and  Jeannie Eddy of Cortland, six grandchildren Kristen (Brandon) Gump, Brad (Caitlin) Luscher, Thomas (Taylor) Luscher, Natalie (Travis Montgomery-Fiancée) Eddy, Noah (Maria Flores – Fiancé) Eddy, and Marissa Eddy, one great grandchild Tyler Gump, a sister Sally (John M.D. Klippel, of Ashville, NC, and a sister-in-law Barbara “Bo” Luscher, Cortland.

                He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Sandra (Miele) Luscher whom he married May 5, 1956, and passed away February 8, 1996, a son Dennis Luscher and a brother Jack A. Luscher.

                Keeping with Bob’s wishes there will be no calling hours or service.

                Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery.
