Warren - Robert Paul Puharich died peacefully in his home on Monday July 1, 2024.
He was born on April 24,1957 in Youngstown, Ohio to Rudolph and Kathryn (Van Such) Puharich.
Bob graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1975. After high school, he attended Youngstown State University where he studied electrical engineering. Bob worked the majority of his life as an Electrical Supervisor, starting in 1985 at City Machine Technologies, Inc., owned and operated by his sister and brother-in-law, where he was a loyal employee for 37 years and had the privilege to work alongside the family he so loved.
Bob was a loving husband to his wife Diane (Iannizzaro) Puharich who he married on September 23, 1989 and would have celebrated 35 years of marriage with this September. They went on to have three children, who were his whole world: Andrew (Adrianna) Puharich of Warren, OH, Brian (Melissa) Puharich of Columbus, OH and Kathryn (Brandon) Tackett of Columbus, OH. Bob was a devoted father; he never missed a sporting event or a dance recital.
He also enjoyed restoring and tinkering with cars, his most beloved project being the restoration of a 1985 Dodge Ram fondly called “The Fritzpack.” He could often be found at car shows on the weekends with his dear friends. In addition to his love of cars, Bob enjoyed visiting the beach with his family and was famous for his Canfield Fair award-winning apple pie.
In addition to his wife and children, Bob is survived by his grandson, Henry Puharich of Warren, OH, who he loved dearly, as well as numerous nieces and nephews who he cared for deeply. Bob is preceded in death by his mother, father and his sister, Joan Kovach. The family finds great comfort in knowing that he is with them again.
Family and friends may visit and pay tribute to Bob on Saturday, July 6, 2024 from 10am to 12noon at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel of Warren, 1884 North Road NE.
A Funeral Service will follow at the funeral home at 12pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Lung Association or St. John’s Orthodox Church on Struthers-Liberty Road in Campbell, his childhood church, in his honor.
