Ronald A. Loomis left this earth March 10, 2025 for his eternal life where we know he'll be playing his drums amongst the heavenly stars.
Ronald and his twin brother Raymond were born July 31, 1952 in Painesville, Ohio to Edward C. and Shirley Granger Loomis.
The family moved to Mecca, Ohio where Ronnie lived until his early adulthood. At a very young age, Ronnie's parents recognized his talent with rhythm and by the age of six he received his first drum set. He attended Maplewood Schools where in elementary school, the band director observed his talent and invited him to join the high school band. His passion for playing drums continued to graduation in 1970. Although music was his first love, Ronnie also participated on the track and basketball teams. During his teen years, Ronnie and his friends formed a band called the Carnaby Street Blues. The band was very successful and played many shows throughout Trumbull County Ronnie worked at Cox Lithographics in Warren, Ohio where he held several certified positions until they closed in 1991. He was employed by Superior Printing which led to an opportunity to open his own business where he served several large businesses in the area. In 2001, Ronnie began working for the Howland Local School District. This became his true passion as he had Tiger Pride through and through. He wore many hats for the district through the years as a bus driver, janitor, event worker and activity supervisor.
Ronnie continued his love of music and for over five decades played in several local bands. He would travel as far as Cleveland for shows. Throughout the years, he played alongside many amazing musicians and up until his passing, he joined his music family for jam night every Wednesday.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Barbara of Warren, three sons, Richard (Tina) Loomis of Mecca, Nicholas (Laura) Loomis of Niles, Lukis (Tracy) March of Warren, and daughter Amanda (Barry) Franks of Youngstown.
