Roy R. Glaspell Sr.

Warren – Roy R. Glaspell Sr., 89, of Warren passed away on Monday morning, January 6, 2025 at St. Joseph Hospital.

Roy was born on November 4, 1935 in Lumberport, WV, a son of Curtis E. and Hazel O. (Swiger) Glaspell.

Roy was a graduate of Bristol High School in West Virginia and went on to graduate from Wheeling Barber College. He later served in the United States Army was awarded an honorable discharge for his service.

Upon returning home, work brought Roy to Warren, OH where he worked for Packard Electric, from where he retired.

Outside of work, Roy enjoyed playing cards and Bingo. He was dedicated to his yardwork and daily walks and enjoyed shopping with his family. Roy deeply cherished and appreciated the time he spent with his family and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Roy will always be remembered by his daughter, Kelley (Rodney) Allman of Warren; son, Roy Glaspell Jr. of Warren; grandchildren, Rodney Jr., Nicholas, Hunter, Shania, Corey, Chelsea, Brian and Jason; 11 loved great grandchildren; brother, Thomas Glaspell; sisters, Linda Sue McAtee and Donna McHenry and many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Roy was preceded in death by his son, Patrick Glaspell; daughter, Crystal Glaspell; brother, Bob, James, Joe, Jack, Ken and Waitman and sister, Lucille, Betty, Vonda and Georgia.

Per Roy’s wishes, no services will take place.
