Warren - Ruth Eileen McIntyre, 84, passed peacefully on Saturday in her home, surrounded by family.
She was born on October 27, 1933, in Kittanning, PA, to the late Charles and Elizabeth "Lizzy" Stover.
Ruth retired from Packard Electric after a dedicated 36 years. She was a family woman who kept careful records of the family history in her Bible and happy memories in her photo albums. Each week was spent looking forward to church and Sunday dinners; the times when the family would be all together. However, it seemed her favorite time of the week was after dinner when she would lead the family in cheering on her favorite team, the Pittsburgh Steelers.
She spent her quiet moments crocheting, watching westerns, and sitting outdoors listening to country music. She especially loved the songs "Amazing Grace" and "In the Garden," and everyone knew her passion for Cadillacs.
Ruth was the loving wife of Jack Edward McIntyre, who preceded her in death. She and her husband have left behind a legacy of hunting, fishing, and a joy of spending time with family.
She is survived and fondly remembered by her three sons, Jack McIntyre Jr., Douglas and his wife Patti McIntyre, and Bradley and his wife Geri McIntyre, as well as seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her siblings James, Frank, and Stella "Sissy" Stover.
The family would like to thank MVI Hospice Care and Mrs. Donna Gano for their assistance in taking care of Ruth.
