Warren – Samuel Z. “Sam” Argeras, 77, of Cortland passed away on Monday morning, March 11, 2024, with his family by his side.
Sam was born on February 9, 1947 in Warren, OH, a son of George and Gloria (Papadimitriou) Argeras.
On November 22, 1968, Sam entered into the United States Army, serving during the Vietnam War. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal and the Vietnam Campaign medal, as well as an honorable discharge for his faithful service to his country.

Sam will be very sadly missed by his wife of 56 years, Theresa (Dobos) Argeras of Cortland; his only daughter, whom he cherished and loved so much, Christina Argeras Fonagy and her husband, Dr. J.J. Fonagy, whom he loved very much and most of all, his grandchildren, Joey and Francesca, of whom he was incredibly proud and loved unconditionally. He will also be missed by his loving mother-in-law, Janet Dobos.
Sam was preceded in death by his parents, George and Gloria Argeras.
