Sharon R. Lockney

Boardman – Sharon R. Lockney, 66, of Salem and formerly of Warren, passed away on Friday evening, December 13, 2024 at Select Specialty Hospital in Boardman.

Sharon was born on December 12, 1958 in Warren, OH, a daughter of the late Eugene E. Sr. and Opal (Coleman) Lockney.

Sharon was a 1976 graduate of Howland High School and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree from Hiram College and then a Master’s Degree in French from Youngstown State University.

Sharon was an accomplished teacher for 25 years, teaching English, Spanish and French.

Outisde of work, Sharon enjoyed shopping, thrifting and going to flea markets with family and friends. She had a love for animals and enjoyed spending time with her family. Sharon will be deeply missed.

Sharon will always be remembered by her sister, Jean Gerlach of Youngstown; brothers, Henry (Mary) Lockney of Niles and Eugene “Eddie” Lockney Jr. of Salem.

Family and friends may visit and pay tribute to Sharon on Thursday, December 19, 2024 from 11 to 12noon at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel of Warren, 1884 North Road NE.

A Funeral Service will follow at the funeral home at 12pm

Burial will follow at Crown Hill Burial Park.
