Timothy Moyers Obituary

Brookfield - Artist, son, brother and father, Timothy (Tim) Mark Moyers sadly left us for Heaven on the 14th of May 2024 at the age of 64.

Tim was born in Cheltonham, Maryland on June 15, 1959, to Joyce Moyers and the late John Moyers. Tim’s childhood years were spent in Mineral Ridge, Ohio. In 1979 Tim graduated from Washington High School in Washington, Missouri. He attended college at East Central Community College in Union, Missouri.

Tim saw the world with gifted, artistic eyes and had a unique skill with clay, brushes, pens and pencils. He was among the first, if not the first, to anodize titanium to create artwork. He provided us with many amazing creations. His talents took him to many places where he made acquaintances with extraordinary personalities and influencers such as the Director of the Smithsonian Institute who considered Tim the leading expert on Ohio’s Serpent Mounds, The Hopewell Indians, and their artifacts. A savant in multiple mediums, Tim freely gave the world powerful insights into history and life with amazing artistic renditions. Above all, he loved to talk and philosophize with his family and friends, showing us all a delicate, kind and yet powerful mind.

We think of the loved ones Tim leaves behind, his dear and innocent son, Mark “Marky” Moyers and Marky’s mother Carmella, his mother, Joyce Moyers, and siblings, Bryan (Sherri) Moyers, Laura J’nean Wellington, David (Heidi) Moyers and Karen (Dave) Burgoon, and several nephews and nieces.

Tim was proceeded in death by his father, John Moyers.

To honor Tim’s wishes there will be no funeral services.

A celebration of life in honor of Tim will be held at a later date, yet to be determined.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel of Warren.
