Georgia -  Donald G. “Ducky” Maras, 77, passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at his daughter’s residence in Salem, Ohio.

            He was born October 6, 1939, in Grove City, PA. the son of the late Margaret and Henry Maras.

            He was a 1957 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School where he lettered in football, and attended Kent State University. Donald served in the National Guard. He was an employed at Republic Steel for 42 years. He was co-owner of Maras-Tomassi Appraisal Company for 25 years.

            He was a member of the Warren Lions Club, and St. Robert Bellarmine Church.    He was umpire and referee in Warren City for many years. He enjoyed cycling and was a racquetball champion.

            He is survived by his wife Kathryn Sauer Maras, his children Bamby (Ben) Tomassi of Howland, Britt (Jennifer) Maras of Cleveland, and Wendy (John) Kline of Salem, James (Michelle) Sauer of Gahanna, Jennifer (Ron) Bamieh of Ventura, CA, Rena (William) Davis of Springboro, Marie (John) Lambremont of Smyrna, GA, grandchildren Brittani (Gregory) Latessa, Alissa, and Tyler Tomassi, Elly Maras, Lauren, Hanna, and Jake Sauer, Ryanne, Sam and Henry Bamieh, Gabrielle, Kenley and Max Davis, and Kathryn and John Lambremont, a brother Eugene (Judy Maras of Warren, and sister-in-law Marilyn Maras of Pittsburgh, PA.

            He is preceded in death by his parents, a granddaughter Remy Bamieh, and two brothers Richard and Robert Maras.

            Memorial calling hours will be Monday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at St. Robert Bellarmine Church 659 Niles Cortland Rd. NE, Cortland, Ohio 44410 where a Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Church with Rev. Carl Kish officiating.

            In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Donald’s name to Ohio Living Hospice 6715 Tippecanoe Rd. Canfield, Ohio 44406.

            Arrangements are being handled by the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel 1884 North Rd. NE, Warren, Ohio 44483.
