Warren – George “Slim” Csehill, Jr, 92, passed away Monday, July 31, 2017 at his residence with his family by his side.

            He was born June 13, 1925, in Studa, PA, the son of the late George Sr. and Anna Csehill.

            George came to Warren in 1942. He was a graduate of Warren G. Harding High School. He retired in January of 1993 from Copperweld Steel from the melt shop after 50+ years. He was a member of St. John’s Orthodox Church in Warren. He enjoyed tracing back his family history in the Ukraine and visiting his parents birth place and homestead. He loved good ethnic food, having family and grandchildren visit and going out for coffee and cruising the country.

            George served in the Marine Corp in the Pacific Theater during World War II he was issued the Honorable Service Lapel Button, Marines Corps Discharge Button and the Presidential Testimonial.

            He is survived by his son John (Sondra) Csehill of Chicago, a daughter-in-law Kay Csehill, five grandchildren John, Gregory, Kristin, Allison, and Dominique, a brother Charles “Chow” Csehill of Howland,and nieces Alexis and Debbie Csehill and Joyce Cranner.

            He preceded in death by his parents, wife Tillie Marie “Tatyana Csehill whom he married in 1950 and passed away in 2016, a son George Chris Csehill, two brothers Michael and John Csehill and a sister Mary Csehill.

            Family and friends may call Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:00 a.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel, 1884 North Rd. NE, Warren, Ohio 44483.

            A service will be Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Funeral Home with Rev. Peter P. Pawlick Officiating.    

            Burial will be in Howland Twp. Cemetery with Military Honors.
